Is Blogging Really That Different From Any Other Form of Writing?

I feel that blogging is a very unique form of writing.  Unlike other forms, like newspapers or magazines, where the writer is a representative of the source, blogs offer opinions and point of view of one person.  Some blogs are used purely to inform its audience, but many do it in an entertaining way in order to gain followers.  I like that blog posts do not need to be any certain length.  If you have a lot to say one day, you can do that.  Not much to say another day, no big deal.  I also like that blogs are interactive -  bloggers can link to many kinds of media (i.e. audio, video,  and other websites) and viewer comments are encouraged.

I found Blogger to be easy to use.  It's fairly self-explanatory to set up a basic blog, and has plenty of features if I want to add more components in the future.  The template choices were pretty slim, but I was able to find something that worked for me.

I am looking forward to using it to organize and share the websites, software, tools, and ideas I find to help others incorporate technology into their teaching.
